Pet Emergency is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year if your pet requires after hours and emergency veterinary care at both of our Brisbane hospitals.

No appointment is necessary to receive emergency and after hours veterinary attention for your pets.

On arrival to our centre, you will be greated by our receptionists and emergency nursing staff. Your pet’s condition will be asssessed on presentation before receiving a consultation with one of our emergency veterinarians.

Your pets health and well being is our priority.

If your pet is stable on presentation, you will be asked to complete an admission form with your details before being taken to a consultation room to await the emergency veterinarian on duty.

If your pet is critically ill on presentation, we will immediately transfer them to our treatment area to commence emergency care and stabilisation of their condition. Your pet will receive immediate treatment and assessment by our emergency veterinarians.

Unlike your primary care veterinarian and similarly to a human emergency department, Pet Emergency does not operate by appointment but on a triage based system. This means that patients are seen in order of urgency not on the order of arriving to our facility.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the veterinary emergency field, there can be a wait to see our veterinarians at times. Your patience is appreciated whilst we attend to patients with immediate life threatening conditions.

If your pet requires admission for treatment at our hospital, you can be assured that all our patients are under 24 hour observation and the care of our qualified emergency veterinarians and nursing staff.
